About
Thomas Strunk lives in Cincinnati where he is a professor of Classics – ancient literature, philosophy, and history. He grew up in Northeast Appalachia in a trailer park on the Delaware River. As a first generation college student, he attended Pennsylvania State University where he majored in Classics and History. Thomas then moved to Chicago and studied at Loyola University Chicago. There he would meet the Jesuits and their companions, who gave him an education on classical antiquity, Christian spirituality, and modern social justice.
Influenced by these peoples, places, and studies, his writings strive to express the eternal longing for the spiritual, cultural, and political liberation of the individual and the community.
